Who we are
The Nesbit Institute was founded in 2019 and operates out of Launceston, Tasmania.
We provide expert academic tuition and professional piano lessons to students of all levels.
Our academic tutors come from a variety of backgrounds, including recent graduates with ATARs of 99+ and qualified teachers with decades of experience.
Our music tutors are all professionally qualified, accredited, and registered with the St Cecilia School of Music.
The Institute also conducts private research in the musicology and pedagogy fields.
Opportunities
The Institute’s students participate in qualifications and performance opportunities offered by the St Cecilia School of Music, St Cecilia Productions, the Launceston Competitions Association, and the Australian Society of Musicology and Composition.
