Academic Tuition
Academic tuition is available for students in Grades 3-12. Our teachers are expertly qualified and offer private course delivery and subject-specific support.
Academic tuition sessions can be booked at any time by arrangement with a student’s tutor. Parents may book one session at a time, multiple sessions at a time, or organise for a regular time each week.
Tutoring sessions are available for the following Australian Curriculum subjects (Grades 3-10):
English
Mathematics
Science
Humanities & Social Sciences
Music
Technologies
Languages
Tutoring sessions are available for the following Year 11 & 12 subject areas:
English — General, Literature, Inquiry, Studio
Mathematics — General, Methods, Specialised
Sciences — Physical Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Sport Science
University Entrance — Subject Selection & ATAR, Application, Interview, UCAT
Music Tuition
Students usually have one lesson per week for all four of the 10-week school terms. Lessons in the school holidays are available by arrangement.
Students progress through the St Cecilia Examinations subjects as follows:
Beginner Grade
Junior Grade
Preliminary Grade
Grades 1-8
Diplomas
St Cecilia Examinations are available in classical piano, modern piano, concert-style examinations, and other specialisations.
Students also participate in competitions. The major competitions each year include:

Other events, such as the Burnie Eisteddfod, Devonport Eisteddfod, and masterclasses will be advised throughout the year.
