Xavier Nesbit (Principal)

Xavier commenced piano tuition at age 3, progressing through the St Cecilia Examinations system. He spent more than a decade performing in local and state competitions before founding the Nesbit Institute.

He was Dux of Scotch Oakburn College with an ATAR of 99.70, and is currently studying a Bachelor of Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine with the University of Tasmania.

Xavier’s qualifications include: L.Dip.SCSM(Hons), L.Mus.Ed(ASMC)(Hons), A.Dip.SCSM(Perf), A.Dip.SCSM(Tch), CMT.

Xavier teaches both music and academic subjects.

Temujin Lloyd (Deputy Principal)

Temujin brings a depth of experience in music performance and pedagogy. He has spent a number of years actively performing in elite competitions and recitals across Tasmania.

Temujin’s qualifications include: L.Dip.SCSM(Hons), A.Dip.SCSM, Edward Wesley Memorial Prize for Best Pianist, and Winner of the Diploma Class at the St Cecilia Performance Challenge.

With his technical mastery and expressive depth, Temujin stands among the foremost pianists in Tasmania — if not its very finest.

Samuel Braune (Senior Advisor)

Sam is an exceptional piano, singing, and music theory teacher with decades of music education experience.

Sam’s students consistently perform at the highest level. Sam has guided students through countless examinations, up to and including Diploma level, and operates his own private teaching practice in South Launceston.

Sam’s qualifications include: L.Mus.Ed(ASMC), L.Dip.SCSM, LIMEB(Tch).
